EAA Chapter 468

Build it, Fly it!

Welcome to the EAA 468 website. We are glad you stopped by for a visit.

EAA South Atlanta Chapter 468 was formed in 1974 at Berry Hill Airport , Stockbridge, Georgia. We moved our chapter home to Peach State Aerodrome, Williamson, Georgia in April 2007. Peach State Aerodrome is the home of Candler Field Museum, has a traditional grass runway and fully supports the activities of Chapter 468.  More information is available through the links above.

The members of the chapter support the National EAA Young Eagles Program, with rallies in the Spring and fall, and at other times,  and also sponsors youngsters to the EAA Air Academy in Oshkosh.  Regular and family membership is $20 per year, and we also have a Junior Membership for boys and girls age 10 through 17. This Junior Membership requires only a simple application with no annual dues.  Funds are also raised at our events such as the Spring and Fall Pancake Breakfasts and are used primarily for our youth activities.

We have aircraft builders and restorers who are busy with their projects as well as all those interested in aviation at all levels. Our members enjoy assisting with the various flying events at Peach State Aerodrome and Candler field museum as volunteers. This is in the tradition of EAA members throughout the world. We have an Annual Picnic and Christmas Party as well occasional special events such as assisting with the annual Aircraft Spruce East Open House.

Our regular meetings are held at the Museum library at 10:00 AM on the 4th Saturday of each month, (except December), and everyone is welcome.  Our Schedule of Events and Dates appears elsewhere in the website pages.  We invite you to come visit with us at Peach State Aerodrome and enjoy an Airport Day.
